Faulty suspension adjustment can lead to uneven tire wear with higher mileage/km. As a result, high-speed stability and traction may be restricted at high vehicle speeds. Action required: Measure the vehicle and correct if necessary. Information If the suspension adjustment is not in order, the tires on the front and/or rear axle must be replaced if the tires are worn on one side. In addition, the tires of the 2nd wheel set (if present) must be checked for one-sided tire wear and replaced if necessary. In the event of one-sided tire wear, the affected tires must be replaced and the following procedure observed: • Carryoutphoto documentation of tire wear. The tire makes approved by Porsche AG with the corresponding N-marking must be used. Warranty processing Information The specified labor times were determined specifically for carrying out this campaign and include all required preliminary and rework. In the event of uneven tire wear, further work and the additional parts and labor time required for replacing the tires are not included in the scope and must be recorded afterwards. The incurred labor costs for scope 1 or 2 and the additional cost of parts required over and above this scope must then be invoiced using a reimbursement claim for the original campaign claim for this campaign. Subsequently, an investigation was carried out to identify possible consequential damage to the tires and whether complaints had already been received from the field. In parallel, the affected vehicles had to be identified. January 26, 2022: Porsche`s Product Safety Committee determined that the affected vehicles may be not within specification regarding the suspension alignment and that a sudden loss of air pressure cannot be ruled out. The decision for a voluntary safety recall was made. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : The suspension alignment will be checked and adjusted if necessary. Furthermore the tires will be checked for premature and uneven wear due to a possible misalignment of the suspension and will be replaced if necessary. The owner’s letter will not include a statement about customer reimbursement for pre-notification remedies as all of the affected vehicles are still covered under Porsche New Car Limited Warranty.
