customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche
’s number for this recall is ARA2.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Check if your Porsche has a Recall
Issue Description
On the rear three-point belts, there is a possibility that the automatic seat belt extension lock for mounting a child seat does not work properly.
If this is the case, the belt extension lock can be switched off in an undefined manner, and the belt can then continue to be unrolled and pulled out. As a result, the child seat is not fixed in accordance with the specifications.
To ensure the legally required operation of the belt extension lock, the three-point belts at the rear left and rear right must be checked and replaced if necessary.
What will Porsche
do?
The remedy is now available as of 3/14/24
Vehicles will have the remedy performed as soon as it is available. Customers will be contacted by PCNA via letter in the coming weeks to inform them of the Recall and remedy availability.

With child restraint
seats for which the vehicle owner elects to use the seat belt to secure the child restraint seat instead of the LATCH system, if the seat belt is not lockable so that the seat belt assembly can be used to tightly secure the child restraint seat, there is an increased risk of injury in a crash to the occupant of the child restraint seat.
Description of the Cause : The automatic retractor’s locking mechanism is engaged by a spring steel blade. After the production was moved to an alternative production plant, the automated assembly check at the manufacturing process verified only the presence of the spring blade, but not the correct spring blade’s position.
