Summary
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe, Carrera 4S Coupe, and Carrera S Cabriolet vehicles. The screw connection on the rear axle upper control arm may be loose.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will rework and tighten the screw connection on the rear axle upper control arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2021. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche’s number for this recall is AMA6.

Information:
There is a possibility that the threaded joints on the chassis securing the upper control arm to the rear axle were not tightened to the prescribed tightening torque on the affected vehicles.
Action required:
Replace threaded connections on upper control arm on rear axle.
Overview
The screw connection on the upper control arm of the rear axle might not be tightened according to specification.
If the screw connection fails it could cause a sudden driving instability with significant changes of the driving behavior and the potential loss of control.
The screw connection on the upper control arm will be reworked and tightened according to specification.
What is the issue?
The threaded joints securing the upper control arms to the rear axle of your vehicle may not be tightened according to the specification. If a connection fails it could potentially cause driving instability, increasing the risk of a crash.
What should you do?
Please contact any authorized Porsche dealer to schedule an appointment to have this recall performed as soon as possible, and to arrange for alternate transportation, if requested.
If prior to having this remedy performed you notice any abnormal noises coming from the rear axle of your vehicle, safely park your vehicle and immediately contact your authorized Porsche dealer.

Porsche is conducting a safety recall to rework and tighten the affected screw connections between the rear axle and upper control arms. This remedy will be carried out free of charge.
