Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche
) is recalling certain 2019 Porsche
911 Speedster, 2020 Porsche
911 Carrera S Coupe, Carrera 4S Coupe, and Carrera S Cabriolet vehicles. The screw connection on the rear axle upper control arm may be loose.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will rework and tighten the screw connection on the rear axle upper control arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2021. Owners may contact Porsche
customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche
’s number for this recall is AMA6.

The screw connection on the upper control arm of the rear axle might not be tightened according to specification.
If the screw connection fails it could cause a sudden driving instability with significant changes of the driving behavior and the potential loss of control.
The screw connection on the upper control arm will be reworked and tightened according to specification.

The threaded joints securing the upper control arms to the rear axle of your vehicle may not be tightened according to the specification. If a connection fails it could potentially cause driving instability, increasing the risk of a crash.
What should you do?
Please contact any authorized Porsche dealer to schedule an appointment to have this recall performed as soon as possible, and to arrange for alternate transportation, if requested.
If prior to having this remedy performed you notice any abnormal noises coming from the rear axle of your vehicle, safely park your vehicle and immediately contact your authorized Porsche dealer.

motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2019-2020 Model Year Porsche 911
