SUMMARY:
Porsche
Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche
) is recalling certain model year 2015 Macan vehicles manufactured March 6, 2014, to April 26, 2014.
During manufacturing, the brake booster may have been damaged during installation.
CONSEQUENCE:
If the brake booster was damaged during installation, the vacuum in the brake booster may drop when the brakes are actuated, resulting in a reduced brake force boost, increasing the risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Porsche
will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the brake booster, as necessary, free of charge.
The recall began on December 29, 2014.
