As a result, the legal requirements for the child-seat lock function of the three-point belts may not be met. Action required: Check the three-point belts affected and replace them if necessary. Information Every vehicle affected by this campaign has been assigned multiple scopes. • 1 scope for testing • 1 – 8 other scopes for replacing the three-point belts, depending on the test result Based on production data, it is clear at which position a potentially faulty three-point belt was installed in each vehicle. To determine which three-point belt(s) must be checked, use the PCSS Vehicle Information to determine the scope of the test required for the vehicle. Then check the three-point belt(s) affected. For instructions see: Technical Information ‘Checking three-point belt’ Depending on the result of the test, the relevant scope must then be selected to carry out the remedial action and the related warranty processing. Affected Vehicles: Only vehicles assigned to the campaign (see also PCSS Vehicle Information). Parts required If necessary remove the parts from the corresponding invoicing scope after checking the three-point belt(s).
